LPP Blue Force Tracker (BFT) provides ground units, including infantry and armoured vehicles, with a common operational picture.
By utilising GPS and satellite communication, it tracks friendly forces in real time, displaying unit locations, movements, speed, and identification on a digital map. This capability enhances situational awareness, reduces the risk of friendly fire, and improves coordination across military operations.
The system connects units through a network of transceivers, transmitting data to a central server and displaying it on a tablet or other interface. It provides real-time threat alerts, enables messaging between units, and integrates with enemy tracking features within allied C4ISR systems. Its adaptable design supports deployment across a range of unit sizes and platforms, ensuring flexible and scalable operational support.
As part of a broader LPP C4ISR system, the BFT integrates with the Battle Management System and Target Acquisition System, further enhancing situational awareness and operational coordination.
