The WX-80 Cloud Seeding Launch System, built on Stores Management System (SMS) technology, is designed for precise aircraft seeding operations. It enables controlled flare firing using both preprogrammed and manual sequences, ensuring the accurate deployment of active seeding agents. The system connects seamlessly to WX-80 Distribution Boxes through a standardized interface and protocol for efficient operation.

For enhanced safety and reliability, a safety release switch physically disconnects fire circuits, preventing unintended activation. Additionally, a logging function records flare deployment location for detailed post-flight analysis. The pilot can select flare type, row, and quantity via the WX-80 Control Panel, with commands transmitted to the Distribution Box to trigger flare racks. Preprogrammed sequences further streamline aerial cloud seeding by automating flare firing at set intervals, optimizing operational efficiency.
