Stores management system SMS

  • Stores Management System (SMS) enables advanced stores carriage, release, and launch, integrating with a Targeting Sensor system.
  • Functions as a standalone system or within the Mission Computer, controlled via EFIS or LPP WX-80.
  • Provides EO/IR integration for enhanced navigation, pylon configuration, fault detection, and mission data management.
  • Calculates Tactical Steering cues, weapon constraints, and ballistics, synchronizing optical navigation for guided weapon releases.
  • Compliant with MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-1553, and ARINC 664.

Basic description

The Stores Management System (SMS) provides precise control over the carriage, release, and launch of aircraft weapons while seamlessly integrating with targeting sensors. It functions as a stand-alone system or as part of the Mission Computer architecture, with commands entered via the Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS) or a dedicated display like the LPP WX-80, ensuring efficient weapon management.

Compliant with MIL-STD-1760 and MIL-STD-1553 standards, the SMS supports mixed weapon loads, including unguided and laser-guided munitions. It configures pylons, monitors weapon status, and detects faults in real-time. Additionally, integrated EO/IR capabilities enhance targeting accuracy by synchronizing optical navigation, calculating ballistics, and providing azimuth and elevation constraints for precise weapon deployment.

LPP also developed fire-management and launch system WX-80 based on cloud seeding technology.
