Using advanced dead reckoning technology, the Inertial Navigation Unit ensures precise navigation without relying on GNSS. Equipped with an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that includes gyroscopes, accelerometers, and magnetometers, the unit provides accurate data on position, heading, and distance travelled. All core sensing components are powered by MEMS technology.
Advanced algorithms integrate data from multiple sensors, including a GNSS receiver and external odometry, to enhance accuracy. The system also features diagnostics and a Driver’s Display Unit (DDU) for improved usability. Qualified to MIL-STD 810 G/H standards, the unit supports autonomous navigation systems in unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and armoured vehicle platforms, ensuring reliable performance in harsh environments.
LPP also produces similar systems, including AHRS for aircraft and IMUs for UAVs, to address a range of navigation needs in demanding environments.
